Field Study #6

Notes:

Date and time: Wednesday November 30, 2022, 3:45

Climate and present weather: The temperature is around 31 degrees it was raining pretty hard last night. its not raining anymore but it got cold really quick there is a slight wind going north at about 10 miles per hour and gusts of about 16 miles per hour. It is slightly snowing nothing crazy but compared to last time there is no snow. 

Temperature: 31 degrees, 3 degrees colder than last time.  

Length of day: 9 hours and 17 minutes

Organisms: compared to last time it is dead, there is such a quiet feeling to the woods from when i started to now. i have notices several changes in the animals that are around. I can tell that the squirrels are getting ready for hibernation as I can see many nests around the pond area and the woods. there are also a lot of deer prints in the mud from the rain and there are deer on the cameras. 

Changes since I was last there: a definite and most notable change was there is no snow on the ground. The squirrels are not really on the ground anymore and they are in there nests with all there food that they were collecting the last day I was there. the deer footprints are there but there is a lot less than last time and the temperature is about the same there is just no snow and its dirty and wet.

Sound map (2 minutes) Notes: Date and time: Thursday September 29, 4:30 Climate and present weather: There is not a lot of cloud cover there is a light breeze coming from the west similar to the last time I was here. I can tell there was some rain because everything seems kinda damp and wet especially the fallen tree.  Temperature: 65 degrees Fahrenheit colder than the last time I was here for sure. Length of day: 11 hours and 47 minutes Organisms: When I was walking passed the bond I immediately noticed less frog noises and less crickets, there was still and lot of little buzzing noises from I think cicadas, a few crickets here and there, I saw a few squirrels running along the branches of the pine trees and the oak trees. First Field Study

  Intro Video 30x30 Map Overhead view Field notes Climate and conditions: My weather app said it would be 83 degrees and partly cloudy to mostly sunny during the middle of the day so i chose to go later when it was around 74 degrees and little more cloudy. and there was a light breeze from the west.  Temperature: 74 degrees  length of day: 12 hours 22 minutes organisms that I found: when we got there, there were a lot of deer that ran away and the trees in the surrounding area are maple trees, pine trees and spruce trees, there are ferns and moss on the ground and some fungi coming out of the dead trees. There are a lot of frog and insect sounds.

  Notes Date and time:  Monday October 31, 2022 Climate and present weather:  There is a lot of cloud cover, It had rained overnight and it is kinda drizzling so it is a little bit damp, the air felt kinda thick almost like kinda a fog.  Temperature:  The temperature today is 60 degrees this is cooler than the last time that I came Length of day : 10 hours 21 minutes Organisms:  When I walked up to the pond there were frogs that were still chirping and this surprised me because of the weather. As i walked further into the woods I saw that the log was growing new moss and fungi. Then there were 3 deer that ran away about 80 yards away from me, I noticed there were scrapes on trees from bucks and that was probably why. I went hunting the night before and I saw a few doe but no bucks.
